Do I need tone marks?
No. Type nihao or nǐhǎo. Tone marks are ignored when finding candidates. Number keys select words; they do not enter tones.
Can I use initials or type a whole sentence?
Common words also match initials, such as zg for 中国. For a longer sentence, the tool offers matching words from the start and keeps the remaining pinyin for your next choice. It does not predict full sentences.
What changes when I choose Traditional?
New candidates use traditional character forms. Existing text stays as you wrote it, so you can mix scripts intentionally.
Why is a word missing?
The included dictionary has 55,320 entries. Recent names, slang and some rare characters may be missing. Try shorter words or individual syllables. Candidate order follows the source dictionary and does not learn from your typing.
Does this work offline?
